Manchester, TN (PRWEB) August 21, 2008 –
The GeoDomainList focuses on acquiring and offering for sale Pure City Geo Domains in .com, and other extensions as well as place, region and county names in .com and other extensions. The list also includes Geo Combo domains with a city or state plus a service, profession or web application and brandable domains suitable for development and end-user resale.
The list comes out daily, with special lists periodically, providing a source of names to complement the efforts of full time domain professionals; and provides a ready made menu of names for part time domainers and those who don't search all the sites for all names daily. We are accepting additional subscribers for a limited time for the GeoDomainList.com newsletter which will have a cap of users and remain an industry letter and an additional end user letter will follow.
Names are priced at $20-$50,000 or more and trusted and confirmed subscribers can place a name on hold with a simple email reply. GeoDomainList follows the same format the related DNFolio.com letter has used since 2004. Signups are open for a limited time at GeoDomainList Signup. One letter each week has all names at $20, and pure city .COM's are offered each Friday.
"It took me two years to find a city.com so I could join a popular trade association and receive the benefits of owning a city, 'virtually speaking’. Maybe Marshall and I can make it easier on the next domainer-investor, industry professional, developer or media company who wants to find their Premium GeoDomain or build out or resell GeoCombos." reported Page Howe when asked about the motivation behind the letter.
Changes Ahead
Additional
premium and city names will now appear in
the GeoDomainList letter in the Gold
Section, for names priced $2000 and higher.
Premium metropolitan area combos and other
gTLD city names will be in the Silver
Section, and Bronze level names will
continue the pattern of the current
letter.
"Because we can't concentrate on every region or profession, (although I've tried), I offer a chance for domainers, investors and website developers to pick up names at reasonable prices given the time and effort avoided in having us do the work. I've always felt the value gain in a domain was generated by the holding period between when a domain is offered for sale, and when its use can be developed or the right end-user comes around. Our subscribers can add quality names to their inventory and still keeps their day jobs, so to speak." remarked Howe.
He continued, "And I'll continue to offer names at a low absolute dollars compared to end-user values because the velocity of my sell-thru creates capital to fund my city name and other efforts, and pays the expenses of finding these and other great names. My subscribers in essence share in a team of searchers which producers names in each subscribers sweet spot, be it combos, city names or brandables. Many of our subscribers focus on one profession or keyword. There’s no monthly fee, they pay only when they like a name."
Why Geos?
Geo Domains serve the current dominant internet habit of viewers searching online and buying locally. While the internet does provide incredible research and information tools, many consumers want to buy, use or see a product or service locally. Geo Domains provide the local business the opportunity to advertise (through PPC, Affiliate or some of the new directory or guide applications) to customers who are specifically looking to buy something in a given geographic area.
These advertisers are spending real money in old economy advertising in telephone books, newspaper ads and advertising premiums. Geo Domains take advantage of the shift in these advertising dollars to online sites. In addition, a properly constructed Geo Combo or city, county or place name in any extension has the credibility and "moat" to attract traffic and deliver to type-in user the expected results.
Thanks to DnFolio, the First Newsletter?
Jeff Kubarych started the
GeoDomainList.com as a follow up to his
current DNFolio daily newsletter. DNFolio
was one of the first daily domain
newsletters back in 2004, and has
developed a loyal user base over the four
years it's been running. Both
GeoDomainList and DNFolio have been free
newsletters which offer 5-20 domains
names daily at $35-$95; plus a Domain of
the Day and other specials priced in
higher ranges. Recently Page Howe and
Marshall Gilliam started adding names to
the GeoDomainList and managing the
subscribers. To increase the level or
service to subscribers Jeff will keep
running DNFolio and Page and Marshall
will take over the GeoDomainList.

A reply to the newsletter with "SOLD" and the name places it on hold for the expected payment soon after. We guarantee performance and delivery on all owned names.
Welcome Marshall Gilliam
Marshall Gilliam comes to the team from a successful career offering wireless, mobile and internet services and business opportunities and sales leads to the same types of entrepreneurs who could profit from owning domain names. Marshall commented on the newsletter process, "Because we hold the names in inventory, we don't ask our subscribers to be near a computer or race to register available names, we simply allocate among subscribers based on replies who receives each name, and then they can pay and process the name at a convenient time. Plus we are the counterparty on the transaction so availability and delivery is assured."
